- Project Overview
Future Opportunities for a Girl Child Ltd is launching The Learning & Care Hub, a transformative project to support 100 young, underage, and abandoned mothers in and around Kampala, Uganda.
Many of these girls face rejection, poverty, and lack access to education or safe spaces to care for their children. This project will construct a dedicated Learning & Care Hub where they can access education, childcare, life skills training, and emotional support in a secure, nurturing environment.
We already have the land, structural design, architectural plans, and official logo now we need your help to build it.
- Objectives
Construct a safe, child-friendly learning and care center.
Provide basic education (literacy, numeracy) and parenting skills.
Offer supervised daycare to reduce child neglect.
Empower young mothers with confidence, knowledge, and community.
Break the cycle of poverty and abandonment through long-term support
- Target Beneficiaries
100 identified young and abandoned mothers (ages 13–22).
Their children (0–6 years) who will benefit from early childhood care.
Weekly Reach: 60–80 mothers and children will participate in structured programs.
All beneficiaries are registered with verified addresses and contact details.
- Project Activities
Construction of a multi-purpose building based on our approved structural design:
Main classroom (capacity: 50)
Childcare/daycare area with safe play space
Counseling and meeting room
Basic toilets and clean water access
Secure fencing and gates
Weekly workshops: literacy, health, hygiene, parenting, and life skills.
On-site childcare during sessions.
Peer support and mentorship programs.
Distribution of hygiene and baby kits (future phase).

6. Expected Impact
100+ young mothers gain access to education and emotional healing.
Over 100 children receive safe, supervised care improving early development.

A sustainable hub that can expand services in the future.
7. Transparency & Accountability
We are committed to full transparency:
- Monthly progress reports with photos and financial summaries will be emailed to donors.
- A final impact report with stories and images will be published.
- The project will be monitored by our local team and community leaders.
- Donor names (with permission) will be honored on a recognition plaque at the hub.
